1. Do some keyword research (use Google’s free external keyword tool or another free tool). Choose 5-10 phrases that are targeted to your business opportunity. For example, many people search for reviews on companies; ie: ’Shaklee Reviews’ or ‘GeneWize Reviews’. Put your company’s name into the free keyword tool and you should be able to find a couple of gems to target.

2. Write an article specific to this keyword phrase. Use the phrase in the title of the article, once in the article body and again in the author bio box. (Just like you do for submitting to Ezinearticles)

3. Place links into your articles that lead to any of your web pages and blogs. Don’t forget you could even link out to free sites, like Blogger and Squidoo. (just make sure you have a way to lead the visitor back to your main site or place an autoresponder box on the page to capture your lead’s information)

4. Put your article into the SEO Linkvine article marketing system and syndicate your article out by pushing a few buttons.

5. Lather, rinse and repeat this process for each of your target keywords, and do this several times per week.

The length of your video is so important for so many reasons and here they are!

1. Video length – People have a short attention span at the best of times but on the internet it gets worse! Unless you produce something that is absolutely amazing the likelihood is they are only going to spend a couple of minutes watching it and then you risk losing the viewer! Therefore keep your video short, make it a length that would persuade them to watch it all the way to the end, a few minutes is good.

2. Allowable video length – Sometimes it can be easy to get carried away when making a video, it’s hard to stop when you’re flowing! But some of the video submitting sites only let you use a certain amount of video time on them. For example YouTube is 10 minutes, so it’s not like you can produce a whole full length webinar or anything like that! This just emphasises the point above, it’s better to keep it short, and it’s good that websites such as YouTube only offer 10 minutes running time, it helps you out!

3. The boredom factor – Lengthy videos more often than not, are pretty boring. Who is going to sit there for say 10 minutes of their time watching a stranger blabbering on waiting to see if the video may or may not be worth watching! If you’re going to make a lengthy video put some humour in it or something to keep the viewer interested!

4. Let them know it’s a short video – A great way to get someone to watch your video is to tell them how long it is before they have even clicked on the video! You want to make it as obvious as possible how long your video is.

Renegade Network Marketer Tip: Lead Capture Page Components

A good lead capture page is an online network marketer’s best friend.

All of your articles, press releases, you tube videos and MySpace pages should lead to this one page, which needs several components to be effective.

1. Attention Grabbing Headline. Use words that trigger emotions, such as pain or fear.
You need to paint a strong mental picture and do it quickly, before the prospect hits the back button.

2. Strong Offer. It’s just the way things are on the Internet. You will need to have a quality ‘freebie’ to offer your visitor, in exchange for their name and email address.
Pay attention to all of the freebies that receive in your email box. If they are quality, and related to your web site’s content, save some of them in a file for later use.

3. Video or audio. It’s been proven over and over again. Audio and video personalizes your page…which usually means higher opt-in rates. Set it to ‘auto play’ when the visitor arrives, in order to get maximum results.

4. Benefits, benefits. Use some bullet points to highlight the benefits of your product, opportunity or service. Tell just enough to arouse curiosity. Your actual sales page should have all of the details.

Anyone who has ever bought into the dream of network/multi-level marketing or mlm knows that its not perfect, myself included. I became involved with it because I loved the idea of flexibility. I was excited by the comfort of working from home. I wanted to supplement my primary income, I desperately needed to do something other than my previous job. I had a desire to be my own boss. I was interested in entrepreneurship. I have a knack for networking. I loved the product. But anyone who has poured countless hours and thousands of dollars chasing the MLM dream knows that its not as simple as up-lines, down-lines, leads and growing bank accounts.

It was a rude awakening, as I jumped in only to find that success didn’t come as easily as I had been told. I wanted to work hard and was willing to, but the fact of the matter was I had not had enough training. My Sponsor was new too and couldn’t train me. Company training was too expensive. My Sponsor recruited me and then left me hanging to be honest. I didn’t know enough people. I didn’t know enough about the business to train anyone. I was not good at training at the time. I couldn’t keep my recruits excited. My recruits kept quitting. My Friends and Family were not interested. I didn’t know how to “sell.” I didn’t want to “sell.” I was not good on the phone. I couldn’t stand cold calling. I didn’t have any leads or know a good source… needless to say, it didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped.

As I experienced, there are some serious drawbacks to MLM. If there weren’t, every product sold would be through networks, and every distributor involved would be very rich. Not the case.

Here’s why:

Shockingly, 99% of all MLM distributors lose money. The further down the line you go, the fewer leads there are available. It becomes a principle of scarcity. Too many predators, not enough prey. Basically, it becomes too difficult to search and track down more people to become involved, either as buyers or down-line distributors.

Family and friends are not a reliable base for MLM success. MLM is not your standard make-money-on-the-side job. For many, it becomes a lifestyle. Some have tried to incorporate spiritual principles. MLM “pep rallies,” training seminars, workshops and retreats are the industry norm. Network Marketing has its own distinct culture, and financial growth is impossible without becoming part of that culture.

These four drawbacks become serious obstacles on the path to MLM financial success. Most Network Marketing Systems fail for some combination of these dilemmas, and until now, there hasn’t been any system that would allow distributors to bypass these hurdles.

After looking at dozens of viral programs and schemes over the past months, I have decided to join Viral URL’s program. MLM Lead Generation: Google and Pay-per-click leads

As you are well aware, the lifeblood of any network marketing business is a steady flow of targeted, qualified leads. Using social sites, such as Squidoo, Youtube and MySpace, you can create a lead flow at little or no cost. However, in exchange for the ‘no cost’, these methods will require a lot of your time. They will often that you learn some specialized skills.

Your goal is 20-30 leads per day coming into your system to review your business opportunity. When you consistently see this volume of leads, your business will be successful. It’s always a numbers game. 20 leads a day is 600 per month. 30 leads is 900 per month. Over time, the numbers will work in your favor. Never lose sight of that fact, even when you are not seeing immediate results.

If you need to add another source of lead generation, pay-per-click (ppc) marketing can certainly bring extremely high quality leads into your marketing system. Google will be the most effective, in my opinion, but there are other ppc networks. Some examples would be:

Yahoo Search
Adknowledge
Kanoodle
Enhance
MSN Search

Now, before you jump out there and sign up for a Google or Yahoo account, take a deep breath…and make sure you understand what you are doing. Many people (myself included) have lost a LOT of money on Google in particular. It’s extremely competitive, especially for the home-based business industry. If you don’t know how to bid correctly, choose the most cost-effective keywords and set your daily budgets, you will go broke in short order.

If you want to learn the basics yourself, there is no one better than Perry Marshall, author of The Definitive Guide to Adwords.

It is also possible to hire a professional to set up and manage your Adwords account. You can find companies by searching for ‘ppc marketing’ and ‘managed internet marketing’. Be warned, though, that this can be quite expensive. Consider this option only if you have the financial resources. If your budget is limited, there is nobody better than YOU to oversee a pay-per-click campaign for generating mlm leads.

MLM and Business Opportunity Leads: Part Four

If you are going to market using bulk email campaigns, you must have large numbers on your side. Opt-in email leads, no matter the quality, will have to contend with spam filters and email blockers.
If you have a decent sales page, expect an opt-in rate to your offer at about half of one percent (.005%) To put that in perspective, if you want 100 fresh leads in your autoresponder system, looking at your offer, you will probably need around 20,000 email leads. Fortunately, this type of lead usually costs pennies per address, sometimes even less.

Be careful when choosing the list vendor. Make sure that the leads are targeted for the home business industry. (Leads targeted to cat owners won’t do you much good!) Also, each lead should come with validating information: name, mailing address, phone number,email address, IP address and Time/Date stamp. You need this information to avoid legal issues, should someone make a spam complaint against you. A lead vendor that only supplies name and email number is not to be trusted. This is an obvious indication that the addresses have been harvested without permission.

Choices will be ‘fresh’ leads (1-7 days old) and ‘old’ leads (may be 30-60 days old). The newer leads will definitely be more responsive; however if you are looking to buy a large amount of leads for very little money, you may find acceptable results from the older ones.

MLM And Business Opp Leads, Part Three: Purchasing Exclusive Leads

Today’s topic: Exclusive MLM Leads

Unfortunately, this type of lead is usually a myth. The safest way to ensure you have ‘exclusive leads’ is to generate them yourself as a result of pay per click ads or other forms of personal advertising.

Are you aware that purchased leads are often sold multiple times? By the time you reach the lead, they may very well be fed up with phone calls or emails from dozens of other networkers. This is not only a waste of your money, it is a waste of your time.

Some lead companies claim to sell the leads only once more, and further state that the lead will be sold only to someone representing a different opportunity. Personally, this is the type of company that I prefer to deal with, but the price per lead can be somewhat more, as a result. Be sure to ask the vendor specifically about the reselling issue. If you can’t get a straight answer, it’s probably a good idea to find a different company.

One company that claims to only sell the lead two times total is National Leads.
I am not affiliated with the company but have used them in the past.

And a sidenote, while we are on the topic of leads. Don’t fall for the very inexpensive (and therefore very appealing) traffic packages that promise ‘100,000’ visitors to your web site today…I fell for it once. Lots of new marketers fall for this pitch. Don’t be taken yourself. If it sounds too good to be true…well, you know the answer to that one!
