Love her or hate her, Ann Sieg, is a highly successful network marketer. About six months ago, I first ran across her free report entitled, ‘The Seven Great Lies of Network Marketing’.
Having been a struggling network marketer for years, I found Ann’s perspective to be spot on. In fact, I read the report several times, each time feeling more excited…and at the same time relieved. I was relieved to know that someone else — someone very influential in the network marketing industry– was fed up with traditional (and non-effective) MLM recruitment tactics. Better yet, she was actually telling me to forget about cold calling, hotel rah-rah meetings, three-way conference calls and harassing my friends and family. Man, she really had my attention. Now, I thought that every network marketer would be interested in her perspective. After all, it seemed to make perfect sense to me. It turns out, however, that many people in our industry got their feathers ruffled by her ‘7 Lies’ and follow-up ebook, The Renegade Network Marketer. (And surprising to me, when I forwarded the free report to my upline, he was not amused)
Fast forward to today, and I am even more convinced about integrating Network Marketing and Internet Marketing. If you have read any of my other posts here, I’m sure you have noticed that I don’t hide my views on this! It’s time to stop selling people something they don’t want or need. It’s time to be become professional marketers.
I am optimistic and hopeful that one day, in the not too distant future, ‘MLM’ and network marketing will regain the public’s trust and respect. There are several fine marketers out there, blazing a trail for the rest of us to follow. Ann Sieg deserved another mention today.
