Review: Ignite Energy Power Up Fundraiser Program

The Ignite Energy business is a Texas-based MLM opportunity. Distributors earn income from something everyone uses: electricity for their homes. In April 2008, the Ignite opportunity also became available in the state of Georgia.

The Ignite Energy Power Up! Program is a fundraising opportunity that allows churches, schools and non-profits to create residual income for their organizations. If you are sick of all the traditional fundraising methods, like candy, cookies, magazines, scented candles and such, this sounds like an interesting alternative to present to your organization.

Here’s how it works.

To become a Power Up! Program participant, a fund-raising organization pays a fully refundable deposit of $99. This provides the organization a personalized web site to enroll energy customers.

Power Up! Program participant organizations are then compensated as follows:

  • Enroll 10 customers and receive a refund of the fully refundable initial investment of $99
  • Stream Energy pays the organization a monthly commission of $5 per month, for each active electricity customer
  • Stream Energy pays a monthly commission of $4 per month, for each active gas customer
  • Cancellation and Refund: At any time, a Power Up! Program participant organization may cancel its position and request a refund of the $99 deposit if it hasn’t gathered 10 Stream Energy electricity or natural gas customers.

Ignite customers are provided electricity and gas by the parent company, Stream Energy.
