MLM and Business Opportunity Leads: Part One

Those of in the network marketing industry know that we must have business leads coming in, on a daily basis. Without leads, we HAVE no business.

Web 2.0 marketing is a great way to drum up free and low cost leads. In case you are just dropping by this blog for the first time, I have reviewed several quality training programs for this type of marketing.

At times when your personal lead generation is not enough, purchased leads can certainly be valuable. Especially when you are new to internet lead generation, careful use of purchased leads can get the ball rolling faster.

When I was first starting out with an internet-based direct sales opportunity, my sponsor told me purchase real-time internet opt in leads. Being eager and new, I followed his advice. In retrospect, I wish that I had taken the time to learn more about the different types of mlm and business opportunity leads. I probably would have chosen a bit differently. ( and saved a lot of money in the process!)

Today, I will begin a series on understanding leads and how to choose correctly for your budget and business goals.

What are Real Time Leads?

Real time leads are considered a premium lead, and they are priced accordingly.

This information is captured on the internet, in response to a generic business opportunity lead capture page. Within seconds, the name, phone number, email and mailing address are sent to your email. If you are closely monitoring your email account, you will be able to call the person back within minutes, while the interest level is still quite high.

There are several types of real time leads:

short form (you get name, email, phone and mailing address)

surveyed (short form information plus the lead has responded to several survey questions regarding their level of interest, amount of capital willing to invest, etc.)

gender specific (male or female)

redirect (sent directly into your online marketing system or presentation)
