ITV Ventures is an online home-based business opportunity in the health and wellness industry. ITV Ventures connects individual business owners to hundreds of thousands of consumers through proven T.V. shows (infomercials) promoting the products and services. Through the optional ‘home agent program’, ITV can route live calls from successful infomercials directly to you in the comfort of your home. You have probably seen some of the informercials yourself (I know that I have) and may even have ordered some of the products previously:
Almighty Cleanse (colon cleansing system)
Estosym (women’s health supplement)
Etopical (topical cream for skin conditions)
Flex Protex
Naked Minerals (mineral make up)
Hope for Pets (pet food and supplements)
Lipistat (supplement for healthy cholesterol and heart health)
Natural Cures Books (Kevin Trudeau’s books)
Think Straight (supplement that promotes focus, concentration and attention)
Wafer Thin System (weight loss supplement system)
All of the products have a health and wellness theme and great care is made to point out natural ingredients, non-toxic formulations, etc. As I have previously stated in other reviews, the wellness industry is HUGE and continues to grow. There is no concern here about demand for this type of product line.
According to the ITV web site, you need three basic things to become successful in the ITV Income Opportunity:
1. A Telephone
2. A Computer, with internet access
3. Willingness to learn and follow a proven system
There are two levels for enrolling as an IBO (Independent Business Owner) –
1. Basic, $165
2. Premiere, $299 (includes the optional home agent program)
You must agree to move $100 of product monthly and you must pay $29.95/month for the ongoing training/support system.
The compensation plan is a 4 x 7 matrix (4 members across, then 16, then 32….down to seven levels). There are over 21,000 possible positions to fill in one sales organization.
Overall, from reviewing everything about ITV, I would place it in the top 10 best home-based business opportunities currently available. I did not find a great deal of disgruntled former reps, which is generally a good sign. I am not a rep myself…my opinion is that ITV has a strong business model, based on my research.
Pros: Relatively low cost to begin; no need to chase friends and family due to the massive television informercial promotion; high demand products in a multi-billion dollar industry (wellness);no need to be a marketing genius, since the tv infomercials will drive customers and prospects to you.
Cons: You must maintain a sales quota of at least $100 monthly. (this is similar to most autoship requirements of other MLM companies); you will need to build a large sales organization, in order to realize significant income. (not unlike most other network marketing opportunities); I have read some reports about poor customer service and long wait times for the IBO’s. As always, do your due diligence.
