A Review of the GRN Business Opportunity and Membership Product
If you are seriously considering a home based business opportunity, there are hundreds of good options. There are network marketing companies, affiliate businesses, ebay, drop shipping opportunities, survey sites and more.
I had several important criteria:
I personally looked at hundreds of home-based business opportunities before making my decision. The choice for my new home-based business was Global Resorts Network.
What is the product?
The Global Resorts membership is an access pass to over 5,000 luxury properties all around the globe. There is a one-time enrollment fee and no recurring maintenance charges. Since there are no blackouts or limits on how many times you can travel each year, you simply choose your destination, make your reservation and pay a rate of $299-$799 per week. It’s that simple.
Know anyone that would like to save money on vacations and travel?
GRN can save families thousands of dollars every year, year after year.
Comparing the resort costs on sites such as Orbitz and Travelocity, you will discover that GRN’s membership will save you anywhere from 40%-75% on the exact same locations and dates. And this is not do-it-yourself travel. Global Resorts has a professional customer service center to assist in planning and booking your trip. This is not a bargain basement type of travel membership.
Did you know that the worldwide travel industry represents an average 7 trillion dollars per year? In the US alone, an estimated 740 billion dollars were spent IN the United States by domestic and international travelers in the year 2007. (source: tia.org)
Global Resorts is not a timeshare membership. If you have ever been the owner of a time share, you know that there are usually limits of one or two weeks per year that you may travel. Also, most time share owners are hit with annual maintenance fees, which can be several hundred dollars extra per year.
What is the cost? There are two different membership levels with Global Resorts, making it affordable for most family budgets. The Gold membership, at $1495 (one time fee), gives you a full three years of unlimited access. The Platinum membership grants lifetime access; the cost is $2995. Your sales commissions will be based on the level of your membership. (Gold sales are $500, Platinum sales are $1,000)
Anyone can purchase the GRN product and use the membership. The GRN business opportunity is optional for anyone who purchases a Gold or Platinum membership. (Simply pay $100, in addition to the membership, to pay for one year of web site fees up front.)
What is the compensation plan?
If you have ever attempted to create an extra income stream with network marketing, this is a very different type of compensation plan.
When you make a Platinum sale, you will earn $1,000. When you make a Gold sale, the commission is $500. There are also handsome bonuses and overrides in the comp plan. You will pass up your first very commission to your sponsor. This is termed a ‘qualifying sale’. However, you do not pass up the person, only the commission. This first commission roll up actually has an important role in your success. It motivates every sponsor to assist the new members in making sales. Sponsors have no incentive to ‘take the money and run’. It’s a win/win situation and you will benefit from one-on-one coaching from your sponsor. Soon you will begin making sales of your own. This is not a binary payment plan. You can earn residuals from your distributors to infinite depth. Also, as you continue to make sales, you will earn handsome commissions on the front end.
You can market your new Global Resorts business by using the default corporate site, or you can choose one or more approved online marketing systems. A few examples would be Global Pro Builder, Truth to Wealth, the Reverse Funnel system and GRN Bizbuilder.

Pros: Travel industry continues to grow; multiple marketing systems to choose from; product has excellent value as a stand-alone retail purchase; far less cost than a traditional franchise opportunity.
Cons: Cost to enroll is $1499 or $2999, which may be out of reach for many biz opp seekers; top-tier direct sales such as this will require larger advertising budgets than mlm start ups; without previous internet marketing experience, your immediate success will be a direct result of your team and the coaching that you receive.
